Watford Colosseum and the Community

Every year, Watford Colosseum staff get together to choose the three charities they want to support for the next financial year – with both a local focus and causes that are close to their hearts.

For their first full year, the team have selected West Herts Hospitals Charity, National Animal Welfare Trust, and New Hope.

The venue will look to support these charities by raising awareness, donating time and space, and hosting collections where possible. We will work with each charity on their specifics needs.

Watford Colosseum also charges a charity donation for all industry personnel added to event guestlists – these donations will be split equally between each charity.

"Watford Colosseum has been a core part of the local community since 1938, and the current team are keen to continue to support the town and its inhabitants (both human and animal!) as we take over the operation of this important venue.

We have chosen these three charities after lengthy conversations with our team, discussing our own personal experiences and what we feel passionate about – for that reason, every member of the Watford Colosseum team is fully engaged in finding creative ways for us to help raise the profile of these important organisation"

New Hope

New Hope is a local charity based in Watford, and is the only charity supporting and accommodating people who are rough sleeping in our town. Our work is broad, working with people from street homelessness to independent accommodation, and holistic, providing opportunities to maintain and improve people’s physical and mental health. We aim to support people to escape homelessness for good.
